The process of interaction with students as a tutor in OBG drew my inclination towards the teaching profession. I pursued my MD Physiology and joined as Assistant professor of Physiology in 2009 and had 9 years of teaching experience. This laid foundation to undergo basic course in medical education by MCI Regional Centre, GMC, Secunderabad and NTTC, JIPMER, Pondicherry in 2010. I also completed my advanced course in medical education FIME from MCI nodal centre, JNMC, Belagavi in 2015.
I have undergone training in research methodology and publications at JIPMER, Pondicherry, sponsored by ICMR, New Delhi. I had Online Certification in Health Research Fundamentals course under faculty development programme from NPTEL-AICTE, IIT, Madras. I was trained in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) for current regulatory and ethical requirements for conducting clinical trials in India in 2019. I was trained in electrophysiological experiments and participated in various training programmes to keep with latest emerging trends in the field of physiology.
