AbstracAim of this study was to find out the efficiency of ultrasound in screening maxillofacial fractures, comparing the result with gold standard Computed Tomography. Fifty patients were assessed which included 10 subjects as controls. Linear probe with a frequency of 5 to 10 MHz was used. Ultrasound showed a sensitivity of 95% in locating fracture lines. Exceptions were undisplaced high condylar fracture and pure blowout fracture.
